Matt, the image of the tree looks like a cocoon and is a bit disturbing but intriguing. I think it serves as great inspiration for your tree. The combination is metaphorically interesting since a cocoon symbolizes transformation and a tree symbolizes life. I am looking forward to seeing how this comes out. What type of material will you use?
I think I am going to use muslin, depending on how much light is let through.
Your form is really aesthetically engaging. Have you thought about how you might diffuse the LED’s? I would hope the light looks natural and not like three little dots of light.
Yea I am worried about that… I have an LED strip which I was thinking of attaching to the inside of the skeleton, so all the lights point inward. I hope that works out.
