Infinity Mirror

Parts:

  • One way glass
  • Electroluminescent tape
  • Relay
  • Arduino
  • Shortbread cookie tin

To do:

  1. Laser cut the acrylic to 10″ diameter circles
  2. Spray paint cookie tin black
  3. Attach EL tape to inside of cookie tin
  4. Program the Arduino following this tutorial: https://www.instructables.com/id/Control-EL-Wire-with-an-Arduino/

Status: I just received the one way glass in the mail, I am still waiting for the EL tape, and I still need to source the relay.

  1. Hi Ted, did you get an inverter to go with your EL tape? I’m not sure that tutorial is the most authoritative source on the subject, did you find any others in your research? I would have suggested you avoid EL materials for this project but I’m sure we can make it work. The VFL might have a relay you could use. What’s the interaction you’re looking to achieve? You could potentially just have the EL tape on and no Arduino component at all.
