This year’s costume is Black Panther themed. I’m a huge fan of the film so I’m looking forward to recreating one of the movie props.
Idea 1 – Wakanda Spear
I’m interested in creating blue lights surrounding the tip of the spear like depicted in the image below.
Idea 2 – Shuri’s earrings
I love these teeth shaped earrings and her entire fit! As shown in my sketch I’d illuminate the base of the earrings.
Idea 3 – Shuri’s earrings
Okoye’s necklace I think is very detailed and would also be a really cool prop to bring to life.
LED Lights

I love the Wakanda Spear and I think it could be super interesting to have it be turned off and when you tap the spear it would make the light glow or possibly if you have it activate when waving it around (possibly a detector of a force??). I can’t wait to see this!
Ta-Shea, love this idea! I think you could play around with the input device so that the lights respond to movement or impact. Otherwise, seems pretty straightforward and im excited to see what you make!
