This week we dove in on two Arduino exercise (02 and 06) that tackled the creation of light and sound patterns, respectively.
The first exercise gave us four different pattern commands to add, remove or combine in the Arduino’s looping instruction: OneAfterAnotherNoLoop, OneAfterAnotherLoop, OneOnAtATime, and InAndOut. Can you guess which command or combination I’m working with in the video below?
The next assignment asked us to make a quick tune using the piezo device, which makes different notes by quickly clicking at varying frequencies.
I found this very intriguing and tried to recreate a classic looping guitar riff, although I was a bit disappointed at the piezo’s inability to recreate on-key notes beyond whole notes. Have a listen below and let me know what you think in the comments!
