I bought this PowerBeats headphone about 2 years ago and neither the music quality nor the product quality reached my expectation (I would not recommend it) . So it stayed in my box for a long time and I decided to throw it away.
BUT before saying Goodbye, let s take a look inside!!

It still works actually, the light is on.

A cutting knife is the only tool I utilized in the teardown.

I am curious about what is inside the ear support so i cut it and lets take a look at the section:

part of the support are soft and the other part is tougher because there is one metal core inside:

the whole structure is partly water proof (not totally) because it is designed for sports (sweats from the treadmill or run in the light rain). That leads to the special sealing of the plastic structure. I had no choice but to force open with the knife

Took some effort but it works:

here is the speaker:

Then i tried to force open the main structure, in which there is the mother board, a on/off button and a mini light.

Done.

Still be able to play music.

open the side wall took a lot more time because they used a lot of glue.

the metal inside the support i was talking about:

“there is a camera behind you.”

taking out the ear support from the main body

well a little damage:

now you can see the whole circuit structure inside
left speaker – motherboard – connecting lane – right speaker

i cut the connecting lanes so you can see the section, 5 lines

here are the parts (only the left side)

this is the motherboard
L141863-10G MX25U1635E2N1
and it was manufactured by MXIC

a close look at the speaker, unfortunately i can’t take this out from the case!

I hope you learn something from this post. Well at least you now know that PowerBeats is not recommended by me.
End.
