Haosen’s Halloween Costume

My final thought about Halloween Costume is my second idea–horn. But the decoration on the horn, according to the suggestions from Becky and knowledge from Sinclare’s classes. I’ m gonna make it more dynamic, the sketch is attached below.

My design concept is to dress as a deity who governs astronomy. The rotating small spheres on the ram’s horns represent the solar system or other constellations. The overall design will be silver and white, with different lights reflected beneath the lamp.

Materials and parts:

Solar systems (decoration):

Iron wire:Different Dimensions

Flowing sliver sequins and fluorescent liquid:https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XHVZNBJ/ref=sspa_dk_detail_2?pf_rd_p=953c7d66-4120-4d22-a777-f19dbfa69309&pf_rd_r=5HZRFBTWCPY4BSQ244P3&pd_rd_wg=JI4GY&pd_rd_w=4L8Wr&content-id=amzn1.sym.953c7d66-4120-4d22-a777-f19dbfa69309&pd_rd_r=13b226e5-9f6f-48bd-b17e-517f6e6282c0&s=hi&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9kZXRhaWwy&th=1

the ball will be looked like this:

Small led strip for the little balls

For the horn part:

  1. thick iron wire for the structure
  2. thick yarns at the outside
  3. Large led lights(always on)

Arduino circuit:

The Arduino techniques i’m gonna use is NeoPixels, I’m gonna let the lights inside the spheres in the “solar system” on my head shine one by one and then shine at the same time, or use the button to switch three mode including all on, shining one by one, and off.

To-do list:

  1. Complete the Circuit on the Arduino board
  2. Make the structure of the horns use iron wire
  3. Use the yarns to complete the surface of the horn
  4. Fill the acrylic sphere with Flowing sliver sequins
  5. Connect them on the thinner iron wire to make small solar system
  6. Combine the circuit with small solar system
  7. Combine the small solar system with the horn

  1. Haosen! I didn’t get to ask you about what you were thinking of doing and I love this idea. I’m a huge astrology gal and this is gonna be so sick. I also saw your glitter today and between that and the cool acrylic spheres I think you can create a cool vibe. I would love if you included a little bit more about how this will look or maybe a detail sketch to show how you may attach these to the horns. Also, if I’m understanding correctly you’re going to fill the acrylic ball with the pearls and the transparent gel liquid, if that is the case i really like that idea but i would just make sure to figure out a way nothing leaks
