Staying hydrated is a simple habit many people know is important for health, but in daily life it is often overlooked. With busy schedules, long hours of work, or constant focus on screens, people forget to drink water until they feel tired or unwell. This small reminder lamp was designed to serve as a gentle signal, encouraging people to pause, take a sip, and care for their bodies. It is not just a light, but a small reminder that health often begins with the simplest actions

Takeaways
When I did the prototype of the hydro buddy, it was the third sewing time in my entire life. Which means I barely know how to get these two fabric sewing together nicely. I asked a lot of help during my sewing progress, and final fabric selection. Well, I got this little buddy sewed up in the end which was nice!
Second, I considered about the circuit and search some related video about the right resistor for soldering the circuit.
Third, considered about the Transmittance. I laser cut two eclipse eyes for my Hydro buddy letting the light came through, and it worked really great. I used hot glue to let two LEDs stay in the right position in the body.
FInally, I made few decorations on the Hydro Buddy for more complete finish.
During this whole journey I have a thought on keep upgrading my hydro buddy with a fading and sparkling light effects, that could display a clearer signal for users who needs to drink some water. Besides, I need keep practicing my sewing skills for sure.
Special Thanks to Becky, Jay, and Tristan!
Thank you for helping me with my sewing skill and ideation.
Hi Zoe, would you please include the images and text in your blog post itself, not just the PDF slides? Thank you!
