Making: The stool has been built by using the Shopbot and has 4 part; 2 identical legs which interlock and 2 seat parts which provides a hidden area for all the cables and RGB LED light strips.

As a first idea for my final project, I’ve decided to build a “soft switch stool”. I really liked playing with felt, so I want to continue by making a stool which will light up when someone sits on.
Here are two inspiration boards for the “top felt” designs;
1. Quotes about sitting on each stool from Katy Perry to Flaubert.
2. Some geometric or line drawings created from felt.
For my plush night light I have inspired from a photo of myself, where l had a cactus on top of my head.
I have used felt as a material and laser cut it for the precise dimensions and sharp edges.
I have used a soft switch where the conductive materials the buttons are in between. So that when there is a pressure on one of the buttons, it closes the circuit and the LED’s light up!
The idea behind my plush light is that you hug “pillow Rona” the cactus on top of her head would light up!
Hi friends,
I’m planning to make a plush toy inspired by my self portrait. The cactus l have on top of my head will be lighted up. 
The face and body will be deconstructed though. Feltmistress has awesome creatures, her work will be my second inspiration.
