This tutorial describes the screen coating process in great detail. I would like to incorporate some of these concepts into our Instructable, because coating the screen properly is crucial to having a high quality print. If done incorrectly, the screen might have a lot of “pin holes,” meaning that ink will show up on the image in unwanted places.

Creative smart iPhone charging dock.
This tutorial shows how to create a cute nightstand iPhone charger stand. The photos are really great.
Ephemera Collage Valentine
This tutorial appeals to me mostly because of the images. Every photo from beginning to end is beautifully shot and styled. Also, the author shows photos of the greeting card in a couple different contexts.
Screen Printing 101 Tutorial
This tutorial by Ashley Hackshaw on Dharma Trading Post is great introduction to screen printing for those with little experience. I like how she explains the Speedball kit and shows that using photo emulsion is easier than it may seem. I think that her “screen sandwich” analogy is perfect for explaining the orientation of the transparency when exposing the image with natural light. The language is clear and direct – good tutorial!
Cheap Screen Printing Tutorial
I found this screen printing tutorial yesterday and I wanted to share this with the class. I appreciate this as it shows you how you can make screen prints at home in a very DIY style, which would be great for T-Shirts, cards, and other small medium.
This is an interesting process, which would probably cost under $10, and does not use any special equipment. I encourage you all to check it out here.
Hanging Shelves on Pulleys – Hanging Shelves Inspiration
I really like this shelving unit because it looks like FUN! All the moving parts make it more dynamic than a stagnant shelf and that automatically makes it cool. Maybe I can put my shelves on a swivel to make them more interesting.
General SolidWorks sketching tutorial.
This is an interactive website that makes learning about basic SolidWorks fun & not as nerdy as it could be. The hand drawn crafty theme hints at a grade school writing & doesn’t feel as technical.
Detailed tutorial on how to make a pencil in SolidWorks.
This a well written detailed Instructables tutorial about how to make a mechanical pencil in SolidWorks. It is not over populated with tons of screenshots & the bullet points help break up the text bodies.
Great Running Blog/Inspiration
I love Helen Lavin’s running blog, “Live Life. Be Passionate“. I may be a bit biased because I know her in person and know how great of a runner she is. She is also very personable and humble about her accomplishments. ( Represented Ireland at the 2012 IAU 100k World Championship and a winner of numerous 100k and 100mile races in the USA ).
I really liked how she used quotes to describe why she runs, so I would like to incorporate few inspirational quotes on my instruction.
Other Tutorials – Plastic Bag
This is not a photo tutorial entirely, however, the photos are very nice, and the idea of reusing the plastic bag is great.
