Concept sketch

The “Fish Illuminating the Night” is designed for the baby
Inspiration Story: The underwater world is pitch black and mysterious, with little stars trembling and hiding by the coral. Suddenly, a little light came from afar, illuminating the blue sea as it approached. Little Star curiously asked, “How did you bring the sun to the bottom of the sea!”

This is such a cute concept! The fish’s expressive eyes make it goofy and the slight smile to the teeth makes it kind.
Currently, the prototype does remind me more of a shark than an angler fish. I can’t tell if it is meant to be a regular fish with a magical light floating in front of it, or if the goal is to be an angler fish.
I think either direction has potential! With an angler fish, the challenge is to keep the cuteness that you currently have, since it’s meant for a crib, but make the shape of the fish more apparently an angler fish.
Lastly – Will you have a hard, non-electric wire in the light stem? It could be nice for it to be bendable to a degree (since it is playful, the user will probably want to/assume they can bend it). Making it strong, flexible, and not breakable seems like the challenge.
Thank you so much for your feedback! I will improve!~~~
I like its intelligent eyes very much. Maybe we can use rubber bands to connect sharks and lights, and parents can pull the rope to increase the immersion.
它智慧的眼神我很喜欢,也许可以用橡皮筋连着鲨鱼和灯,父母拉着绳子增加沉浸感。
I love how close the eyes are together it makes a fish with big teeth who could be seen as scary as friendly! Looking at your initial sketch I think it’s a great idea to add a loop at the top so a parent can hang the plushie above a crib.
Following up on Erica’s comment, I agree the fish looks more like a shark. I think you should focus on making it a magical light because the design is so cute! You could also put the lights in the fins or open the mouth and have the light shine through that opening.
