My product is for some people who always breaks the alarm clock by accident.

Remind children of bedtime, you can fight ghosts to sleep at ease

I plan to use 10 LEDs and speakers

  1. I love the concept of an alarm clock—and of creating a clock that both doesn’t break and also serves a storytelling purpose for kids.

Based on the current sketches and prototype, I only see a ghost outline—but what is the personality of the ghost? Is it scary, cute, friendly, goofy? Is there a way to have it in motion, or showing an expression? Maybe the ghost can have arms that are “holding” the clock? I would explore more ways to give this personality and more expression, bringing it even more to life.

The current prototype definitely reminds me of a classic video game figure—specially, the ghosts in Pacman (https://www.dreamstime.com/pixel-ghosts-video-game-pacman-classic-set-ghost-pixel-ghosts-video-game-pacman-classic-set-ghost-vector-illustration-image130157545). These ghosts are very cute and colorful—what color will your final pillow be? I would say it’d be more fun if it isn’t white. Maybe it can have some kind of pattern and/or facial features?

The proposal seems more complex, with the alarm clock, but feasible (Jiaqi, you seem much better at electronics than me!!). My main advice is to think about how to give the pillow more personality. What design or features would a kid really enjoy?

For the final version, I would definitely include a video showing how the pillow is used (for example, the alarm going off, and how you turn it off from there).

Excited to see the final version!
