RONA BINAY

Hey, this is Rona. I was born in Washington D.C. and moved to Turkey when l was 3 years old. I grew up in the capital city; Ankara where l received my BFA degree from Bilkent University in Interior Architecture and Environmental Design. After my graduation I moved to the city which l absolutely love; Istanbul.

I worked for some art galleries, a kids oriented product design firm, an architectural firm and a design & fashion store.

I also do illustrations, take pictures and make jewelry.

I like to talk about animal documentaires, art and high fashion. Every day I’m motivated about trying new things and experimenting. Very excited about having the time & this great opportunity to produce my own products and designs.

Hi, I’m Clay!

I arrived in New York last week after living in sunny Pittsburgh for the past 5 years. Its fascinating to dive into school while attempting to get acquainted with the vastness of this city. There’s just so many awesome museums and galleries here! Earlier today, I went to the Public Library with a couple classmates to learn about the history of lunches.

Anyway, the photo (above) was taken by my friend Laura, while hiking in Wyoming this summer.

I wrangled the Panther at U Pitt while majoring in Studio Arts and Architectural Studies. Printmaking was my focus and I’ve come to appreciate rigorous making processes (sometimes more than the end result). After graduation I worked at FISHER ARCHitecture, where I had the opportunity to design glass furniture. My experience as an intern opened my eyes to the to possibilities of 3d computer design and digital fabrication. I can’t wait to learn CNC, 3d printing, and laser cutting!

My favorite hobby is photography and I’m a strong supporter of analog/darkroom processes.

Fuji pack-film (above) is my latest obsession, because it works in older Polaroid Automatic Land Cameras. You can see all of my design/artwork/photography on my website: claykippen.com. I also post daily to my flickr and tumblr accounts, which list the different cameras and films that I use.

Hello interweb, my name is Damon Ahola.

My dad used to own his own popcorn company. This is me in his catalog with an obscenely large button on my member’s only jacket.

I was born & raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota (technically Edina which is a suburb). Brooklyn is my new home via Chicago, where I was for the last 7 yrs. I received a BFA in industrial design & a minor in business administration from the University of Wisconsin-Stout. For the past 10 years I’ve worked at numerous consultancies & corporations as a full-time & freelance designer at places such as Radius, Lunar, Teague, Wrigley, Ignite & Choi Design.

Here is a hilarious viral video of some speakers I worked on that were just released.

I dabble in furniture design as well as design competitions in my free time.

I’d like to think that I am a well-rounded industrial designer very knowledgeable in the entire product development process. My website is damonahola.com; you may find me on  Facebook Twitter (which I rarely use), Google+ (which I use less) & the Tumblr page I just created for the PoD class. I’m really looking forward to this amazing opportunity as a part of the inaugural PoD class.
