My name is Bernice and my background is in Marketing and Sustainability, having graduated from the University of British Columbia, in Vancouver, Canada.
Growing up in the Pacific Northwest, I’ve been lucky to spend a lot of time in nature, so some of my hobbies include hiking, camping, and snowboarding. I love to travel, and spent 2015-16 moving from Vancouver to Melbourne to Shanghai, and now here, to New York!

Hi i’m Dayoung Hong. I’m from Seoul, Korea. I obtained my BFA in Industrial design from Sookmyung Women’s University in Korea. I have developed my design ability to work in a broad range of design fields including UX/UI, graphic design, package design.
I believe that design created out of love towards human and understanding of human nature will truly move everyone. I’m really looking forward to making real interactive products that can interact with users.
Hi, I’m Ailun. I was born and raised in China. I obtained my Bachelor’s degree in industrial design from China Central Academy of Fine Arts. With almost 10 year’s thorough training in fine arts and design, I gain sound design basic skills which provide me opportunities to become a teacher and a designer. I believe that product designers should understand the society and human behaviors and psychology. Designs not only achieve the functions, but also contribute to the high usability and user experience, which is well-reflected in my design of the Courier Vehicle.
I prefer to make more attention to social mentality and cause people’s thinking of the social issues which I am studying. I am also trying to explore the possibility of healing people’s psychology.
I studied biochemistry and life-sciences prior to my dentistry degree. I was interested in knowing the how and why of the systems, the organisms. I pursued a dentistry degree followed by a specialty in pathology infectious diseases and cancers.
I like the arts and culture in all their forms and have tried since a young age influenced by family and personal interest to expose myself as much as possible to what the world has to offer and nourish my senses.
I beleive in taking challenges to the next step. I believe in seeing the beauty of the mind’s potential and power. I believe in laughing, having fun and appreciating simplicity even in life complexities.
I grew up in Switzerland (for the most part) in a town called Muttenz with a pretty little church:
St. Arbogast Kirche is the oldest church in Switzerland that still has its original wall intact.
In Swiss school, we had mandatory sewing class through 9th grade, and I did a lot of sewing, embroidering, crocheting, and quilt-making in high school.
I came back to the US for college, got a BA in History of Science and Dramatic Arts at Harvard, and then moved to New York to dance:
I haven’t done this in a while…
After a few years performing and tutoring the SAT to kids out on Long Island, I came home and made some goofy Christmas morning outfits for my family:
Hi! My name is Jenna. I recently graduated from Cornell in Mechanical Engineering. When I was there I specialized in 3D printing and design, with my main project being 3D printed customized ballet shoe inserts.

I am extremely excited to learn about electronics and programming in the context of product design and further my learning about these topics within my area of interest. I would also LOVE to play around with applying electronics to my main hobby of dance, and maybe find an interesting spin-off of my work with the customized inserts. Though I am very much against technology for technology’s sake (and fought against this alot in undergraduate) I am really interested in wearables. I’m a huge fan of Disney’s Magic Band system and can’t wait for wearables to become a more useful part of everyday life beyond fitness tracking.
